It’s hard to believe that Courtney and I have been married for over six months already! All the action of August has made Henry very very tired. I understand he still has about 231 naps to go before he is fully recovered.

Courtney and I are back home and settled back in to our normal routines. We hope all our guests had as fantastic a time as we did during the festivities.

Wow, four days away! How did that happen so quickly?

I want to drop a quick reminder that the Blue Angels are performing at Sea Fair (scroll to the bottom of our Things to Do section for info on Sea Fair) and as such, they will be practicing during the week. This means that some REALLY loud planes will be flying REALLY low right over downtown Seattle Tuesday through Friday. You’ve been warned.

Yesterday, July 1st, marked the unofficial start to summer in Seattle. It was a gorgeous day with temps in the upper 80s (and no humidity). This makes me feel ready for August 2nd!

We have 134 days left before our wedding celebration! We’ve been busy locking down some of the finer details of the event and things are really starting to take shape. New information for guests is available regarding the Welcome Celebration and the Wedding itself.

We are looking forward to seeing everyone here in August.

Early survey results have some interesting trends I’ve noticed. While we certainly don’t want to give away the reason for our seemingly irreverent questions so quickly, I will share a few small tidbits we’ve learned so far about our friends and family:

• Many of you have an interesting idea of what it means for words to rhyme.
• People we know that fall in fairly different demographics sometimes have very similar literary taste.
• Several people think that we are smart asses. Guilty as charged.
